What is a Stepper Motor Driver?
Stepper motor driver is an actuator which can transform pulse signal into angular displacement signal. Step motor drivers drive step motor to rotate at an angle called step angle in the set direction when receiving a pulse signal. The motor speed is up to the pulse frequency given from the controller, and the displacement is decided on the pulse quantity given from the controller.
The stepper system consists of a stepper motor and a driver to drive step motor. The performance of the stepper system is not only up to the motor, but also depends on the stepper driver.
What High-Quality Stepper Driver Is Beneficial?
High-quality stepper driver will drive stepper motor smoothly and make the motor give out higher torque with less noise and heat, of course, reducing the power consumption too. On the contrary, stepper driver, of an inferior quality, is very noisy. It is not very stable and can't make the motor to give out full torque. What's worse, it breaks down easily. STEPPERONLINE offers high-quality step motor driver to drive the motors from Nema size 8-42. Most of them are produced by STEPPERONLINE Technology Co. (one of the most famous stepper driver manufacturers in China). We are one of the leading authorized resellers of STEPPERONLINE products in China. The drivers incorporated in our products are used to drive 2-phase (4-phase) and 3-phase motors.
Types of Stepper Motor Driver
The stepper motor drivers can be of two major types:
The analog driver is based on advanced current control technology which makes the motor move smoothly with low heat and noise. The digital drivers are implemented with STEPPERONLINE's advanced DSP technology which allows them to drive the motors with less heat and noise, and they can be auto-tuned. You can read about the difference between digital stepper driver and analog step motor driver here to know more.
Closed-Loop Stepper Motor Drivers
Also, we provide closed-loop drivers. They are suitable for 2-phase (4-phase) motors integrated with a position encoder. You don't need to tune them to get high performance, and they are cost-effective at the same time.
STEPPERONLINE always offers best quality stepper motor drivers at the best price. If you have any question with choosing a stepper motor driver, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are always ready to give you the most suitable recommendation.
